New work published by the McIntyre Lab in the Journal of Neuroscience Research, details the effect that cilia loss from different populations of neurons has on behavioral responses to amphetamine in mice. The work shows that cilia loss from GABAergic neurons has distinct differences compared to cilia loss from dopaminergic neurons. Support for this work comes from the NIH NIDA, and a UF McKnight Brain Institute pilot award. The paper can be found here https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jnr.24755
